The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has created a coordination headquarters that will be responsible for the continuous functioning of communication networks. About this reportedPress service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
This headquarters will operate as a single center, uniting the efforts of central and local authorities, telecommunications operators and other government agencies. The main goal is to identify risks early and respond promptly to them so that networks remain operational even during prolonged power outages.
To this end, transparent mechanisms for interaction will be implemented: operators will receive fuel for generators more quickly, technical teams will have unhindered access to damaged infrastructure, and key issues will be resolved without unnecessary procedures. In addition, the headquarters will monitor the situation and prepare recommendations for the government.
The headquarters includes representatives of mobile operators Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine and lifecell, the Deputy Minister of Energy, the Chairman of the National Energy Regulatory Commission, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police, the State Emergency Service and the State Emergency Service. The heads of the OVA and the Chairman of the National Energy Regulatory Commission are involved in the work. The headquarters will be headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
