The Center for Countering Disinformation Confirmed the Information on the Use of Drones with Toxic Substances by the Russian Federation

Center for Combating Disinformation confirmed based on the data of the State Service for Emergency Situations, that the Russian troops are using Shahed-type kamikaze drones equipped with poisonous substances for strikes on Ukraine.

“It is known that in one of the UAVs, a capsule with a concentrated combat poisonous substance ‘CS’ (irritant) was found. It is a highly toxic substance with an irritating effect.” – says the message.

It is noted that such drones can scatter capsules with a poisonous substance to harm people. At the same time, the CPD emphasizes that the information spread by some media about the treatment of drone bodies with poisonous substances is not confirmed.

We will remind that on April 15, some mass media reported receiving information from several military sources, according to which the Russian forces are applying chemical substances to the hulls of the Shahed 136/”Heran-2″ UAV in order to harm those who come into contact with the wreckage of the downed aircraft.

“While we do not have additional evidence that this is really a mass phenomenon, the recommendation not to touch the wreckage of downed drones without first analyzing them for chemical danger seems quite logical. Because Russia has long had entire institutes developing combat poisons. And even Russian special services operating abroad liked to use them for particularly perverse ways of killing Putin’s opponents.” — noted in the Central Bureau of Statistics.
