The court chose a measure of restraint for the head of the State Customs
The Higher Anti-Corruption Court (HCC) chose a preventive measure against the acting head of the State Customs Service, Serhiy Zvyagintsev, in the form of a bail in the amount of 60,560 hryvnias. About this informs Specialized anti-corruption prosecutor’s office.
“On January 10, the Investigating Judge of the State Customs Service supported the position of the Prosecutor of the SAPS and applied a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 60,560 to the Acting Head of the State Customs Service, who is suspected of deliberately entering by the subject of the declaration knowingly inaccurate information into the declaration of a person authorized to performing the functions of the state or local self-government, provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”, the message says.
It is noted that the bail amount is the maximum allowed by law for this type of crime. In addition, the court obliged the suspect to fulfill a number of procedural obligations. The official is charged with the crime provided for in part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It will be recalled that the acting head of the State Customs Service is suspected of not declaring property worth more than 100,000 dollars. Serhiy Zvyagintsev has been acting as the head of the State Customs since 2023.
