The court lifted the arrest of part of the property of Yulia Tymoshenko and her husband
The Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has decided to lift the arrest of part of the property of People’s Deputy Yulia Tymoshenko and her husband Oleksandr Tymoshenko, the court’s press service reports.
The court left under arrest only the People’s Deputy’s bank accounts, but unblocked half of the movable property, three cars and two garages belonging to Oleksandr Tymoshenko. The seizure of funds in the amount of $6.3 thousand was also canceled.
During the meeting, the deputy’s lawyers emphasized: “the arrest could lead to the impoverishment of the family” and argued that the investigating judge had no right to impose an arrest on Oleksandr Tymoshenko’s property, because he is not a suspect.
The decision of the Appellate Chamber enters into force from the moment of its announcement, is final and cannot be appealed in cassation.
