The EBRD will support Ukraine’s economy until the end of the war, investing 1.5 billion euros annually

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development announced the allocation of about 1.5 billion euros annually to finance projects in all sectors of the economy. Since the beginning of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, the bank has already financed projects worth 4 billion euros.
About this informs Ministry of Finance.
According to Anna Lebedynets, associate director, senior agribusiness banker of the EBRD, after the war, funding will be increased to support the recovery and development of the country.
Among the priority areas of funding are the development of crop production, animal husbandry, bioenergy and processing industry. The EBRD also notes the growth of requests for business development in western Ukraine and the opening of factories abroad.
The bank is actively working on creating war risk insurance mechanisms for new businesses and investments. By the end of 2024, the EBRD is expected to offer an insurance tool for goods stored or transported in Ukraine.
