The EU is developing sanctions against 45 Russian oil tankers and dozens of companies and individuals

Within the framework of the 15th package of sanctions against Russia, the European Union proposes to introduce restrictions on 45 Russian oil tankers, 50 individuals and 30 companies. About this informs Bloomberg.

“According to the documents, as part of the 15th package of sanctions, the European Commission proposes to list more than 50 individuals and almost 30 legal entities, freezing their assets and introducing a travel ban”, the agency said.

The list of sanctions includes Russian manufacturers of military equipment, as well as a small number of Chinese companies. In addition, it is planned to limit access to European ports and services for more than 45 Russian oil tankers. The sanctions will also affect Russian companies engaged in oil transportation, as well as military personnel and managers of enterprises that support the military actions of the Russian Federation.

As Bloomberg notes, the European Union proposes to introduce trade restrictions against about thirty organizations that help Moscow obtain the technologies necessary for the production of weapons. In addition to Russian companies, this list includes companies from Serbia, Iran, India, Thailand, UAE, China and Hong Kong. Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of North Korea, who made the decision to send their military personnel to Russia, will also fall under the sanctions.

These sanctions are being discussed in the context of a meeting of foreign ministers of the G7 countries, which will take place this week in Italy. During the event, it is planned to discuss measures against states that support Russia.
