The ex-director of the fast food chain became the US ambassador to the EU: Trump’s decision
US President Donald Trump appointed Andrew Pazder, the former general director of the fast food chain “Carl’s Jr”, the ambassador of the United States to the European Union.
“I am pleased to announce that Andrew F. Pazder will be the next US Ambassador to the European Union. Andy is a successful attorney, businessman, economic columnist and author.”, the president said.
Trump noted that since 2000, Pazder served as CEO of the company that owns the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s chains.
“In his 17 years as CEO, Andy has led the company out of serious financial difficulties, enabling it to survive, become financially secure and grow. Andy will do a great job representing our country’s interests in this important region.” Trump added.
“Carl’s Jr” is an American chain of fast food establishments, which has more than 3,600 restaurants in 38 countries. Founded by Carl Karcher in 1941, today it operates as a subsidiary chain of the “CKE Restaurants” company.
