The full text of the bilateral security agreement between Ukraine and the USA has appeared

Ukraine and the USA today took a historic step in strengthening security relations by signing a 10-year Bilateral Security Agreement. This document, the text of which already available on the site Office of the President of Ukraine, aims not only to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities, but also to promote its Euro-Atlantic integration and ensure a just peace that will hold Russia accountable for its aggression.

Key points of the agreement:

  •  The US is committed to working with partners to build a strong and resilient Armed Forces of Ukraine capable of resisting any future threats.
  •  The agreement includes not only military aid, but also support for Ukraine’s economic recovery and energy security, which is critical for its ability to defend itself.
  • The US supports Ukraine’s aspirations for membership in the EU and NATO, promoting the necessary reforms.
  • The agreement emphasizes the importance of achieving a peace that would respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as hold Russia accountable for its actions.
  • In the event of a new armed attack by Russia, the parties will hold consultations at the highest level to determine the necessary measures, including sanctions against the aggressor.

The agreement provides for a wide range of cooperation, including:

  • military training and education;
  • supply of defense goods and services;
  • joint military exercises and maneuvers;
  • cyber security and protection of critical infrastructure;
  • countering propaganda and disinformation; regional security in the Black Sea;
  • demining and other measures.
