The German arms company will start production of Lynx infantry fighting vehicles in Ukraine already this year

German arms company Rheinmetall announced the start of production of Lynx infantry fighting vehicles in Ukraine. This became known during the Conference on the restoration of Ukraine, which took place in Berlin.

“We will produce the first Lynx already this year”, – confirmed the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshin in a comment to Handelsblatt.

The Lynx is a modern infantry fighting vehicle developed by Rheinmetall. It features a modular design and can be equipped with a variety of armaments, including a 30-35 mm gun, a 120 mm Leopard tank gun, and more.

The location of the production has not yet been disclosed for security reasons. However, earlier, Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger reported that the first 10 Lynx BMPs for Ukraine are already being produced in Germany and Hungary.

Earlier, the company already received an order for the production of artillery shells for Ukraine and announced the opening of a plant for their production. It is also planned to create an enterprise for the production of air defense systems.
