The German Chancellor rejects the idea of creating a no-fly zone in Western Ukraine: details
Olaf Scholz said that the idea of creating a no-fly zone in the west of Ukraine will lead to the direct involvement of NATO countries in the war. He believes that such actions can turn Germany into a “party of war” and provoke an unpredictable reaction from Vladimir Putin.

Scholz reacted to the plan proposed by Anders Fogh Rasmussen, which involves bringing Ukraine closer to NATO and strengthening its position in the war against Russia. The plan includes deploying an air defense shield on Ukraine’s western border, which Scholtz says is “dangerous talk by warmongers.”
“There is no common sense in saying now: let’s do it anyway, but maybe for 70 or 100 km. We should concentrate on supporting Ukraine, but we ourselves do not want to become a party to the conflict and will not become one. Not us, not Europe, not the USA“, said Olaf Scholz.
The chancellor emphasized the need to support Ukraine, but avoid direct involvement in the conflict. He recalled that the issue of the no-fly zone had already been raised at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, and emphasized that Germany, Europe and the USA would not become parties to the conflict.
