The government announced how long Ukraine will be able to hold out without financial assistance from the United States
Ukraine has sufficient financial and military resources to withstand Russian aggression at least until the middle of 2025, even in the event of the termination of financial support from the newly elected US President Donald Trump. About this stated Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko.
“I believe that we have enough funds, enough weapons, missiles and artillery shells to resist at least for the first half of 2025. We will provide sufficient budget allocations for the purchase of the necessary ammunition and military equipment in 2025.” – emphasized the minister.
He noted that today Ukraine receives key weapons from the USA, which guarantees readiness for continued resistance to aggression both in the first half of 2025 and beyond.
“This means that at least in the first half of the year and the following period, we will be well prepared to face this aggression,” – emphasized the official.
He also acknowledged that the end of American aid would pose a serious challenge to the country’s defense capabilities, but would not lead to disaster.
“We must have a plan to create the necessary conditions for cooperation with the new administration. It is in Ukraine’s natural interest to build trust for cooperation. I think this should be a priority strategy for both Ukraine and Europe.”, – Marchenko is convinced.
