The Government has updated the procedure for registration of disability

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted amendments to the normative acts regulating the procedure for establishing disability and granting statuses to persons who suffered as a result of the war. The updates affected several key provisions, in particular, the Procedure for Establishing Disability, granting the status of a person with a disability as a result of the war, as well as the status of a family member of a fallen defender of Ukraine. About this reported representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, on his Telegram page.
The changes relate to the clarification of the procedure for submitting applications for obtaining statuses. In particular, now an application for the status of a person with a disability as a result of the war or a family member of a fallen (deceased) defender can be submitted in paper form at the applicant’s place of registration. Applications can be submitted directly to local structural units on veterans’ policy issues or through TsNAP, as well as by postal means.
Separately, a list of bodies was determined to which structural subdivisions on veterans’ policy issues can send requests to request the necessary documents, if the applicant does not have them. The procedure for action is also provided in the event that the response to the request is not received on time or the documents are provided in violation of the deadlines.
In addition, the procedure for notifying the applicant of the decision on granting or refusing to grant the status in the case of submitting an application in paper form was clarified.
We will remind you that in September the government adopted a new version of the Procedure for the appointment and payment of one-time cash assistance in cases of death (death) or disability of certain categories of persons. According to the new rules, applications for assistance are submitted through the Ministry of Veterans Affairs or through the Central Administrative Service. In addition, if technical capabilities are available, applications can be submitted electronically through the Action Portal or the Unified State Register of War Veterans.
