Russian units have broken through to the outskirts of Mirnograd, street fighting is taking place
Russian troops in the Pokrovsky direction have broken through the defenses on the approaches to Myrnograd, and intense street fighting is currently ongoing. This was reported on the air by the spokesman for the group of troops “East” Captain Hryhoriy Shapoval.
“Unfortunately, the enemy has entered the outskirts of Myrnograd, and is using not only artillery and unmanned systems, but also infantry and technical means”, – Hryhoriy Shapoval.
According to the spokesman, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding their positions and continuing to strengthen the fortifications. At the same time, the situation remains critical – heavy fighting continues in the city, which complicates the use of certain types of weapons.
During the day, Russian troops tried 45 times to break through Ukrainian defenses in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Nove Shakhove, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Myrolyubivka, Myrnograd, Zvirovo, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, Filiya in the Pokrovsk direction. In some of these locations, fighting continues.
The defense forces continue to restrain the attacks of the enemy, who is suffering significant losses. During the day, 113 occupiers were destroyed in this direction, of which 83 were irretrievably destroyed. Ukrainian defenders also eliminated one motorcycle, 11 UAVs, and seven enemy shelters. In addition, two more shelters, four cars, and one piece of special equipment were damaged.
