Russian units on the border with the Sumy region are trying to break into the territory of Ukraine and advance deep in order to cut off the logistics routes of the Defense Forces. About it during the telethon reported spokesman of the State Border Service, Colonel Andriy Demchenko.
“Now we see that the enemy is trying to enter our territory with assault groups, or to expand the zone of active hostilities already on the territory of Ukraine – in the direction of the settlement of Novenke. But the units of the DPSU and other components of the Defense Forces are inflicting damage as much as possible so that the enemy cannot gain a foothold there, accumulate their forces on the territory of Ukraine.”Andriy Demchenko said.
According to him, the efforts of the Russian army in the Sumy region are not of a mass nature, they are not mass assaults.
“When the enemy tries to knock out the Defense Forces from the Kursk Region, first of all, he puts pressure on our units within the Kursk Region from the flanks. And in the future, he tries to expand the zone of active hostilities, trying to enter the territory of Ukraine. But all the components of the Defense Forces are acting in that direction to prevent this. All available weapons are used.” Demchenko explained the situation.
