The government reminded about the deadline for submitting applications for winter cash assistance

December 23 and 24 are the final days when Ukrainian citizens can still apply for a one-time payment of UAH 1,000 under the state program “Winter Support”. At the same time, applications for additional financial assistance for socially vulnerable groups in the amount of UAH 6,500 have already been suspended. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

As of December 23, more than 17.7 million Ukrainians have applied for the payment. Of these, more than 13.7 million people, including children, have already received funds on National Cashback cards. The deadline for submitting applications expires at the end of the day on December 24. The money received can be used until the end of June 2026.

Financial assistance can be used to pay for housing and communal services, purchase of railway tickets, medicines, books, Ukrainian-made products (except for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), charitable contributions, in particular to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as postal services.

The program of providing 6,500 hryvnias for citizens belonging to the most vulnerable segments of the population has officially ended. In total, more than 462 thousand people who especially need support during the winter period have applied for assistance. More than 272 thousand applicants have already received payments. These funds can be used for six months and exclusively for the purchase of medicines, clothing and footwear.
