Operational services continue to work at the site of a Russian missile attack on an educational institution in Poltava. About this reported Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko in his Telegram channel.
Rescuers have already localized the fire and are actively sorting out the debris. Thanks to their operational actions, it was possible to save 25 people, 11 of whom were pulled out from under the debris. All victims receive emergency medical care.
“Near the site of the impact, there is a residential area where the shock wave knocked out windows and damaged the facades of the houses. The police are now going around the apartments, checking whether there are victims among the residents. At this time, about a hundred statements about damaged property have been recorded.” Klymenko said.
“The work at the site continues. The rescue services will operate until they are sure that all the victims have been released from the rubble. I express my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery.”– added the minister.
Regarding the current situation in Poltava:
On the morning of September 3, explosions rang out in the Poltava community. Later, People’s Deputy Maryana Bezugla noted that Russian troops struck the place of formation in Poltava. The OVA said that this day was tragic for the region. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that 41 people were killed and 180 injured as a result of the attack.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also confirmed that the Russian Federation inflicted a barbaric attack on one of the city’s educational institutions.
