The Armed Forces of Ukraine have updated the basic training program with an emphasis on psychological stability

The implementation of the fifth edition of the basic combined military training program (BZVP) is underway in training centers where mobilization personnel for the Armed Forces are trained. The main emphasis in the updated program is on the development of psychological stability. About this reported press service of the Ministry of Defense.

The total duration of training remains unchanged – one and a half months, of which 41 days are allocated for classes, 6 days for rest, and 1 day for administrative matters. The total amount of training is 372 study hours. The process of updating the program was headed by the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Colonel Oleg Apostol.

Among the key changes in the program are the “zero day” or the day of adaptation of civilians to the military environment, an expanded block of psychological training, training in working with the “Kropiv” software, an increased volume of pre-medical care classes, as well as the introduction of “marching” training to increase the physical endurance of servicemen.

The training course includes advanced shooting exercises, focusing on combat actions at short distances (up to 100 m) and increasing the speed of combat. Additional ammunition is provided for this. The exercises are developed with the participation of fighters of combat units who have experience in effectively destroying the enemy. Also, to increase the psychological readiness of the military, the program includes viewing of films in virtual reality format “The First Battle”.

The program consists of four main blocks: an introductory course (8 hours), individual training (107 hours), unit training (209 hours) and complex tactical training (48 hours).

After successful completion of the course, servicemen receive a certificate and class qualification for VOS-100 “shooter”. The next stage of training is specialized courses, where military personnel acquire specialized knowledge and skills in accordance with positions in combat units.
