The head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure, Mustafa Nayem, wrote a resignation letter: details

On Monday, June 10, the head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure, Mustafa Nayem, submitted his resignation from his position.

The decision to resign was made against the background of the scandal involving the disruption of Nayem’s trip to Berlin for an international conference on June 11-12, which was intended to mobilize international support for the reconstruction of Ukraine after the destruction caused by a full-scale Russian invasion.

“I am leaving the post of chairman of the Recovery Agency. He made the decision on his own due to systemic obstacles that do not allow him to effectively exercise his powers. Starting last November, the Agency team began to face constant opposition, resistance and the creation of artificial obstacles“, he wrote on Facebook.

Nayem also noted that he will perform his duties until the Government makes a decision on his dismissal and will ensure the transfer of cases to his successors.
