The Ministry of Agrarian Policy increased state orders for bachelor’s and master’s degrees by 10%

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has increased the volume of the state order for the training of bachelors and masters in agricultural specialties in 2025 by 10%. About this reported press service of the department.

The number of budgetary places for obtaining a bachelor’s degree in the field of agricultural sciences will increase by 150 and reach 5,300. The largest increase is in the specialty “Agronomy” — plus 90 places (up to 2,200), “Aquatic bioresources and aquaculture” — by 60 (up to 250), “Agroengineering” — by 40 (up to 1,500), “Horticulture” — by 20 (up to 250).

For the training of masters on the basis of bachelor’s degree, the state order will increase by 440 places – up to 2,394. The largest increase is foreseen for the specialties “Agroengineering” – by 155 (up to 715), “Animal Husbandry” – by 115 (up to 335), “Agronomy” – by 100 (up to 900), “Water bioresources and aquaculture” – by 45 (up to 125), “Forestry” — by 15 (up to 225), “Horticulture” — by 13 (up to 87).

“We are paying special attention to veterinary medicine in 2025: the state order for master’s training in this specialty will increase by 205 places to 925”, the message says.

The ministry also notes that the state order for the training of professional junior bachelors in 2025 will remain at a consistently high level — 5,270 places, which is 30 more than in 2024.
