Russians kill nine Ukrainian soldiers in Kursk region: Lubinets appeals to international organisations

Russian troops have executed nine Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region after they were forced to surrender due to a lack of ammunition. About this informs service DeepState, citing sources from the 1st separate tank brigade.

The tragic event took place on October 10 near the village of Zeleny Shlyah. According to preliminary data, Ukrainian drone operators and other military personnel, being in positions, believed that they were in the relative rear. However, they were forced to come into combat contact with the enemy and, due to limited ammunition, found themselves in a hopeless situation, which led to their capture and execution.

DeepState analysts note that the situation in the Kursk region remains difficult. Ukrainian forces are conducting stabilization actions, but it is extremely difficult to regain control over the lost positions.

Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, strongly condemned this execution, stressing that it is a gross violation of the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War. He turned to to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) with a call to immediately investigate this crime.

“These actions must not go unpunished, and the enemy must bear full responsibility. Russia is a terrorist country that violates all the rules and customs of war. The international community must not turn a blind eye to such crimes.”Lubinets emphasized.
