The procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense “State rear operator” has announced a tender for the purchase of 1.7 million sets of daily field product sets (DPNP) No. 15 for the entire year 2025. The expected value of the order exceeds 485 million hryvnias. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The standard diet includes 14 items, including main dishes, cutlery, spices, drinks and other components. The energy value of one set should be at least 3,500 kcal, which meets the requirements of providing servicemen in the field.
Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov emphasized that military nutrition is not only about providing the necessary number of calories, but also a key element of maintaining combat readiness.
“We are implementing new control mechanisms so that dry rations meet the highest standards, ensuring the strength and endurance of the military in the most difficult conditions.” – he noted.
This year, significant changes were made to the procurement process. Special attention is paid to monitoring the execution of contracts. There are additional checkpoints where the Food Safety Authority will check the quality of products and all non-food items will be checked by the DOT.
Also, a tasting procedure, which allows not only to evaluate the quality of the products, but also to ensure the proper taste characteristics of each set, has become a mandatory condition before packing the sets.
