The Ministry of Defense announced the first purchases of tangible property to support the army in 2026
The Ministry of Defense, through the “State Operator of the Rear”, has begun to form needs for 2026 and has put forward the first purchases of material support. The list includes both basic elements of the uniform and personal protective equipment, the press service of the Ministry of Defense informs.
Among the published positions – hats, summer and winter shoes, underwear, combat shirts, summer and insulated clothing sets, panama hats, sneakers and other types of property necessary for units.
In the field of protective equipment, purchases of modular body armor, ballistic helmets, as well as fireproof overalls for combat vehicle crews have already started. Sleeping bags, unloading belts and a number of other items have also been added to the nomenclature. Some of the items will be manufactured in two camouflage patterns – MM-14 and MM-25, depending on the purpose.
As noted by the “State Operator of the Rear”, supplies under the concluded contracts will continue throughout 2026. New announcements regarding material support are planned to be published within the next two months.
It was previously reported that in 2024-2025, the State Rear Operator spent over UAH 230 million on the purchase of women’s military uniforms.
