Unmanned Systems Forces Day will be introduced in Ukraine. A draft of the corresponding presidential decree has already been prepared, and the new professional holiday is proposed to be celebrated on June 11. This was announced on June 5 by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.
She emphasized that Ukraine became the first country in the world to form the Unmanned Systems Forces as a separate branch of the military. According to Svyrydenko, the Ukrainian military has confirmed the effectiveness of unmanned technologies in modern warfare and demonstrated new approaches to conducting combat operations.
“June 11 will be the Day of Unmanned Systems Forces – a holiday for those who changed the rules of the game. Those who turned the tables on old military theories,” — the message says.
The Prime Minister also noted that this is not only about drone operators, but also about all military personnel and specialists who work on intelligence, planning operations, creating technologies, managing missions, and striking targets both on the front line and deep behind enemy lines.
“This is the day of those who scout, calculate, develop, plan and conduct operations. Those who launch and hit targets. Who provide unique work with UAVs and IRCs on the front line and deep behind enemy lines, destroy equipment, logistics, headquarters and inflict our long-range sanctions more than a thousand kilometers deep into enemy territory.
You are not only destroying the enemy. You are demonstrating to the world the power of Ukrainian engineering thought, the courage and ability of Ukraine to set new standards of modern warfare,” – she emphasized.
