The Ministry of Defense has allocated an additional 1.9 billion hryvnias for the purchase of drones through DOT-Chain Defence

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine allocated an additional 1.9 billion UAH, with which the military will be able to order unmanned aerial vehicles and other equipment through the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace. Another 50 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received access to the platform, which will bring the total number of units using the system to 180.

In the first three months of operation, almost 100,000 drones were delivered to the troops through DOT-Chain Defence for a total of 3.74 billion UAH; the average delivery time for drones “from stock” is approximately 10 days.

The DOT-Chain Defence marketplace was created by the “State Rear Operator” to provide the military with weapons and equipment — it combines brigades, manufacturers, and the “Defense Procurement Agency” in one secure digital environment. The government recently decided to also expand the application of the system to the National Guard of Ukraine.

The units independently select the necessary equipment, and the AOZ takes on the organizational procedures — from concluding contracts to making payments, so the military only needs a few clicks to order equipment.

In addition, DOT-Chain Defence is involved in the “Drone Army Bonus” program, which provides all Defense Forces of Ukraine. The platform currently presents about 200 units of equipment — FPV drones, aircraft drones, attack helicopters, etc. — from 49 Ukrainian manufacturers. The provision of units through DOT-Chain Defence is carried out in parallel with other programs and acts as an additional channel for the supply of unmanned systems.
