The Ministry of Defense has strengthened control over the quality of dry rations for the military
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has strengthened control over the quality of dry rations for the military, introducing a multi-level system of checking the supply of daily field food kits. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.
According to the new rules, all components of rations purchased with state funds will undergo mandatory control in vet laboratories. This applies to both main dishes and additional products. Samples will be taken from each batch to check completeness and availability of necessary test protocols. If violations are found, they must be promptly eliminated, and batches that do not meet standards will be returned to suppliers for revision.
After laboratory analysis, suppliers will receive permission to stock rations. Next, the finished dishes will undergo tasting and quality assessment. The final stage will be the transfer of food kits to the joint supply centers of the Armed Forces, which will be carried out by a special commission.
“Thanks to the control, suppliers gradually improve their production facilities, which significantly accelerates the elimination of discrepancies and accelerates the delivery of quality rations to the troops”, – explained the head of the Central Department of Quality Control of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Ihor Leshchenko.
