The Ministry of Defense launched the process of changing the leadership of one of the departments: details

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the beginning of a large-scale reform of the logistical support system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The key steps are the change of the leadership of the Main Department of Development and Support of the Material Support of the Armed Forces and the creation of a new collegial body to review the existing technical documentation.

“The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine launched the process of changing the leadership and reorganization of the Main Directorate for the Development and Support of Material Support of the Armed Forces. In addition, the Department of Procurement Policy of the Ministry of Defense initiated the creation of a collegial body on issues of organizing the development of material support of the Armed Forces, which will review the previously adopted technical documentation and ensure the adoption of a new one in accordance with NATO standards and practices“, the message says.

The Ministry emphasizes that the reform is aimed at simplifying procurement procedures, attracting new suppliers and improving the quality of products supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Some technical specifications were developed several years ago and currently do not meet the requirements of a major war. We aim to review all specifications in order to allow as many local manufacturers as possible to bid for the “State Rear Operator” and to provide the Armed Forces with quality rear goods“, – emphasized the head of the Department of Procurement Policy of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Hleb Kanevskyi.

It is noted that the Ministry of Defense purposefully continues work on improving the efficiency of the Ministry’s work and increasing transparency.
