The Ministry of Defense presented an IT system that will improve the provision of the military

The Defense Procurement Agency of Ukraine “State Rear Operator” presented the demo version of the new IT platform — DOT-Chain Defense — to the manufacturers of unmanned systems. This system was created to improve the process of supplying the military on the front lines, informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The new system is designed to provide units of the Armed Forces with unmanned aerial vehicles, ground-based robotic complexes, as well as means of radio-electronic warfare and intelligence.
First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Gavryliuk, noted that a cluster of manufacturers of unmanned systems has already formed in Ukraine and continues to develop. At the same time, against the background of current challenges, there is a constant need to improve such technologies.
“The Ministry of Defense is developing mechanisms for a more effective response to the urgent needs of the military. The DOT-Chain Defense IT system is one such mechanism.” Gavrilyuk emphasized.
According to him, the system will work according to the principle of a “marketplace” — military units will be able to independently choose the required types and amount of equipment. This should make provision more operational, targeted and flexible. During the presentation, manufacturers got acquainted with the functionality of the system, had the opportunity to test it and get answers to their questions.
DOT IT advisor Alyona Zhuzha emphasized the importance of such meetings with market representatives, which allow taking into account their feedback at all stages of development:
“Such meetings with the market are extremely important, because they allow you to get feedback at each stage of the development of such large-scale IT systems. The domestic defense sector has great opportunities for development and DOT-Chain Defense should contribute to that.”
The implementation of the system is expected to not only provide manufacturers with the tools to scale, but also to bring the process of supplying unmanned systems to the Armed Forces to a new level.
