The Ministry of Environment reported how much the state earned in the first two weeks of work

Mezhyhirya tourist park, which began to function officially as a state institution two weeks ago, has already earned more than 2 million hryvnias. About this reported Minister of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Ruslan Strilets.

Currently, the “Mezhyhirya” team is engaged in setting up work and is actively recruiting new employees. Workers who took care of the park on a volunteer basis now receive official positions. In July, 40 new employees were hired, which increased the total number of employees to 111 people.

“We are changing the philosophy of park development. The former government residence should become a European-level park. Our plans are to turn it into the most favorite place of Kyiv region residents and guests of Ukraine, following the example of well-known world parks.”, – noted Ruslan Strelets.

The official opening of the park took place on July 19, 2024. During the first two weeks of operation, the park brought more than 2.1 million hryvnias to the state budget, of which 420 thousand hryvnias are taxes, including VAT.

During this time, more than 10,000 people visited the park, including 500 combatants who had the opportunity to visit it for free. In addition, discounted tickets were provided to families with many children, orphans and children of orphanages. More than 180 families used the special “Family” ticket.

In general, over 4.4 million hryvnias of taxes were paid to the budget during the 8 months of operation of the state institution.
