The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus handed a note of protest to the temporary charge d’affaires of Ukraine

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus summoned the Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine in the Republic of Belarus, Olga Tymush, to protest the recent events. According to the state agency BelTA, the Ukrainian diplomat was handed a note of protest over the violation of the Belarusian border by a group of unmanned aerial vehicles that were launched from the territory of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the Belarusian side emphasized its strong disagreement with such actions and expressed concern that such incidents may be repeated. In this context, Belarusian diplomats clearly warned the Ukrainian side that in the event of a repetition of such provocations, Minsk reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its territorial integrity.

In addition, during the conversation, special attention was paid to possible consequences for diplomatic relations between the two countries. Belarusian diplomats emphasized that if the Ukrainian diplomatic mission will not be able to prevent such incidents, the question of the feasibility of its further presence in Minsk may be reconsidered.

This incident is another stage in the strained relations between Belarus and Ukraine, which continue to deteriorate amid the ongoing conflict in the region. The reaction of the Belarusian side indicates readiness to take decisive measures to protect its national interests, even if this leads to further complications of diplomatic relations with Ukraine.
