The Ministry of Health has named beaches in Ukraine that are safe for swimming
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has published a list of beaches where the water meets sanitary standards. The list was formed based on the results of inspections conducted from June 11 to 17. This was reported by the Ministry of Health.
According to the ministry, most of the tested bodies of water meet sanitary requirements, but swimming is currently not recommended in several regions.
Within the official beach areas, experts took 106 water samples. Five of them did not meet the standards for microbiological indicators – this is 4.7% of the total number of studies.
The water on the beaches in Kyiv, Kyiv, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions was recognized as safe for swimming.
In Kyiv, these are the beaches “Venezia”, ”Veselka”, “Molodyzhny”, “Dityachny”, “Zoloty”, “Predmistana Slobidka”, “Tsentralny”, “Chortory” in the park “Muromets”, “Telbin”, “Raiduga”, “Troyeshchyna”, “Galerny”, “Obolon Island”, “Verbny” and “Pushcha-Vodytsia” on lines 5–7. At the same time, the beach season in the capital has not officially opened.
In the Kyiv region, the water at the children’s beach “Chaika” in the village of Chaika, the city beaches of Pereyaslav and the beach “Central” in Bila Tserkva was declared safe. Officially, the beaches of the region are also not open.
In Volyn, it is safe to swim on the city beaches of Lutsk, the beaches of Kovel on the Turia River, in Berestechko on the Styra, the village of Zhorany in the Kovel district, the beaches of the Shatsk community on Lake Svityaz and in the Hryada tract.
In the Dnipro, the water meets the standards on the beaches of “Sagaydak”, in the “Prydniprovsky” culture and recreation park and on Monastyrsky Island. In the Dnipropetrovsk region – in the Kamyansky and Samara embankment area, on the city beaches of Pavlohrad and Verkhniodniprovsk, as well as on the beaches of Zhovty Vody, Zelenodolsk and Kryvyi Rih on the Inhulets and Saksagan rivers. Officially, the beaches of the region are not open.
In the Zhytomyr region, the beach for adults in the Zhytomyr Hydropark and the beach in Zvyahel on Bohuna Street, on the Sluch River, were determined to be safe. In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the beaches of Ivano-Frankivsk and the village of Polyanytsia were determined to be safe. In the Kirovohrad region – the beaches of the village of Novoarkhangelsk on the Synyukha River.
In the Lviv region, the water meets the standards on the beach of Lake Molodizhne in Zolochiv, the city beach of Morshyn, the beaches in Peremyshlyany, the villages of Vereshchytsia, Gonyatychy, Pidberiztsy and Korosny, as well as on Lake Zadorozhne in the village of Verbizh.
In the Mykolaiv region, the water on the “Rainbow” beach in Pervomaisk, the beaches of Pivdennoukrainska and Novaya Odessa, as well as the “Strelka” and “Chaika” beaches in Mykolaiv were recognized as safe according to laboratory indicators. At the same time, swimming in the region’s reservoirs is prohibited by the decision of the OBA.
In Odessa, the water meets the standards on the beaches “Vidrada”, “Luzanivka”, “Arkadia”, “Dolphin”, the 10th, 13th and 16th stations of the Great Fountain. In Chornomorsk – on the “Central” beach.
In the Poltava region, the beaches of Myrhorod on the Khorol River, Kobelyak, Kremenchuk on the Dnieper and Sukhoi Kahamlyk, Bilyk and Novy Sanzhary on the Vorskla, as well as Svitlogirsky on the Kamyansk Reservoir were declared safe.
In the Rivne region, the water meets the standards on the city beaches of Mlynov and Hoscha, as well as on the Dubrovytsia beach on the Horyn River. In the Ternopil region – on local beaches in Zaliztsy.
In the Khmelnytskyi region, the city beaches of Krasylov, Khmelnytskyi, Shepetivka, Netishyn and Starokostyantyniv, the Izyaslav beach on the Horyn River and the beach of the villa “Two Rivers” in Velyka Slobidka on the Muksha River were determined safe.
In the Cherkasy region, the water meets the requirements on the city beaches of Cherkasy and Bagachevy. In the Chernivtsi region – on local beaches of Velyky Kuchuriv, Boyan and Magala. In Chernihiv region – on the city beach “Zolotyi Bereg” in Chernihiv.
Swimming is not recommended due to the non-compliance of water with microbiological indicators on the beaches “Khimik”, “Gonty” and “Tsentralny” in Vinnytsia, the city beach in Korosten, the beach of Lake Basiv Kut in Rivne and the beach in Khorostkiv near the Dubyna tract.
No official river beaches have been registered in the Zakarpattia, Odessa and Sumy regions.
Due to martial law and the security situation in 2026, recreational and health zones on water bodies will not be opened in Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv and Kherson regions regions.
The Ministry of Health urged people to relax only in specially designated swimming areas and to monitor updates on water quality, as weather conditions may affect its safety.
