The Ministry of Health wants to oblige pharmacies to offer customers the cheapest medicines in the first place

The Ministry of Health proposes to oblige pharmacies first of all to offer buyers the cheapest of the available drugs. About this in ether Deputy Minister of Health Edem Adamanov told the telethon.
“We propose to oblige pharmacies to always have the cheapest medicine available and to offer it to the patient in the first place when he turns to the pharmacist directly.” – said Adamanov.
The Ministry plans to determine the lowest price for drugs through indication.
“We have an e-procurement system Prozorro, in which there is an e-catalog that hospitals have been buying drugs from for several years, and we see that hospitals are buying drugs much cheaper than they cost at retail.
Therefore, we suggested that the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada consider using an electronic catalog to determine the indicative price, for example, once a year or twice a year. The pharmacy chain announces the procedure for requesting proposals. All manufacturers and suppliers offer their prices for medicinal products. – explained Adamanov.
We remind you that Ukrainians can get some medicines free of charge or with a surcharge. This can be done under the government’s Affordable Medicines program.
