The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched the “112” application, which works without a mobile connection

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has launched a new application “112 Ukraine”, which allows you to call for emergency help even in the absence of a mobile signal. As Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko reported, through the service you can call rescuers, police, ambulance or gas service: the operator assesses the situation and directs the necessary service to the place.

“112 Ukraine” will be useful in basements or shelters where there is Wi-Fi but no mobile connection, as well as in areas with an unstable signal or during accidents and failures of cellular networks. The application is already available for download on iOS and Android.

To start using it, you need to be authorized. The Ministry of Internal Affairs assures that all personal data is protected in accordance with state cybersecurity standards and is used exclusively for processing emergency calls.

In the future, “112 Ukraine” plans to add a function for calling for help in sign language to make the service available to all users.
