The Ministry of Reintegration provided an explanation regarding the receipt of financial assistance from the state to the families of prisoners
The Commission for establishing the fact of illegal deprivation of liberty in connection with armed aggression against Ukraine operates under the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine. This commission examines the question of the captivity of both military personnel and civilians, including those who have already been released.
The Commission includes representatives of state institutions and specialized public organizations. After official confirmation of the fact of being held in captivity, the Ministry of Reintegration pays a one-time monetary aid in the amount of 100,000 hryvnias to persons who have been released from captivity.
In addition, the ministry provides annual financial assistance in the amount of 100,000 hryvnias for each year of captivity to former prisoners or their families, if the person is still in captivity.
