An inspection of a batch of artillery and mortar shells, conducted at the request of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, showed that almost half of them needed to be returned. About this reported Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
Earlier, one of the production plants received a complaint from the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine about the quality of 120-mm mines. The Ministry of Strategy and Industry specified that the inspection of this batch was already in progress, as certain deficiencies had been identified earlier.
“The working group worked during November 11-15 and came to the conclusion that, indeed, there is an abnormal operation of several components of the product. As a result, part of the projectiles turned out to be of inadequate quality. To date, there are a total of 54,000 mines from the batches, which were suspected of abnormal operation , approximately 24 thousand mines are subject to return, which is less than 1% of the products produced this year”, the message says.
The Ministry of Strategy and Industry assured that all low-quality mines will be replaced, and control over production processes will be strengthened. This will make it possible to avoid similar cases in the future.
