The NACP has started monitoring the lifestyle of the head of the National Police, Ivan Vyhivskyi

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has begun monitoring the lifestyle of the head of the National Police, Ivan Vyhivskyi. This happened after the application National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), which conducted information and analytical work based on the results of a journalistic investigation.

The investigation stated that Vyhivskyi’s sister is a co-owner of a company engaged in wholesale fuel trade and cooperated with those involved in criminal proceedings investigated by the police under Vyhivskyi’s leadership. It was also reported that the head of the National Police lives in a house worth UAH 6.5 million, designed for an old friend of the family, who did not have sufficient income for such a purchase. In addition, Vyhivskyi used cars registered to his mother-in-law.

The NABU handed over materials to the NAKC for monitoring the lifestyle of the head of the National Police. Based on the results of the monitoring, NABU detectives will make a decision on the possibility of entering information into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations and starting an investigation.
