The National Bank of Ukraine has allocated almost one hundred million hryvnias for the purchase of armored collection vehicles

The National Bank of Ukraine held a tender procurement, as a result of which it ordered eight modern collection vehicles for a total amount of 98.9 million hryvnias. The corresponding agreements were signed on March 19 and 23, 2026.

According to the terms of the contracts, manufacturers must deliver special vehicles with a high degree of protection and a significant level of localization of production by the end of this year.

The largest share of the order was received by the Reform company, which will manufacture three heavy armored trucks based on the Mercedes-Benz Actros chassis for 60 million hryvnias. Each such vehicle, worth about 20 million hryvnias, is equipped with third-class armored protection, a special cashier’s compartment and a cargo van. The level of localization of this production is 31%, and the payload of the equipment exceeds 11 tons.

“We carefully analyzed the market and settled on models that meet the highest security standards for transporting valuables,” a representative of the regulator’s specialized department noted.

Analysis of purchase prices showed a certain increase in the price of special transport compared to similar contracts in the fall of 2025. In particular, the cost of heavy trucks in European currency increased by 14%. This is explained by the change in equipment, in particular the appearance of an additional cashier’s compartment, although the payload in the new models is slightly smaller than in previous models.

“Each purchase is accompanied by a detailed study of technical specifications, since the power of air conditioning systems and the accuracy of compartment dimensions are critically important for cashiering,” he emphasized.

The second lot was won by ViDi Unicommerce, a company part of Vitaliy Dzhurynskyi’s group. The company will supply five medium-duty trucks based on the Iveco Daily for 38.9 million hryvnias. These vehicles have 47% localization and are equipped with safes for temporary storage of cash.

Interestingly, during the bidding, competitors offered a lower price, but their offers were rejected due to non-compliance with technical specifications and the lack of necessary certificates for armored glass.

The National Bank continues the planned update of its fleet to ensure uninterrupted and safe cash circulation in the country. Control over the quality of contract execution and compliance of armor with the declared protection classes will be carried out by a special commission of the regulator during the acceptance of each unit of equipment.
