In Ukraine, the property of a confidant of fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych was seized. The figure, a former People’s Deputy, belonged to the banned pro-Russian “Party of the Regions”. About this informs National Police.
The property of the ex-national deputy, who was twice elected in the first twenty lists of this party, was seized. After the Russian occupation of a part of the Donetsk region in 2015, the defendant together with three accomplices organized the production of medical drugs for the Russian Ministry of Defense in the occupied Horlivka.
The traitors closely cooperated with the leadership of the “DPR”, supplying medicines to pharmacies and painkillers for Russian military hospitals. Since February 2022, they have paid more than two million rubles to the Russian budget.
The former People’s Deputy left Ukraine before the start of the full-scale invasion, two of his accomplices remained in the occupied territory and manage the “business”. The third accomplice was detained in Kyiv – he was re-registering the pharmaceutical business under Russian legislation.
During searches in Kyiv and the region, the police seized bank accounts, corporate rights, four apartments in the capital, a house and land near Kyiv, as well as seven premium cars, including a Maybach.
