The Office of the President of Ukraine announced the selection of a candidate for the position of Minister of Justice.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Iryna Mudra stated that the People’s Deputy of the “Servant of the People” faction, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy, Denys Maslov is being considered as a candidate for the position of Minister of Justice. Iryna Mudra wrote about this on Facebook.

Iryna Mudra also reported that after the appointment of Kyrylo Budanov, she will remain in the position of Deputy Head of the Presidential Office and will continue to oversee the justice sector. According to her, she will continue to coordinate issues in the field of justice in Ukraine, and will also be responsible for the formation and implementation of the state’s international policy on ensuring justice and holding the Russian Federation accountable for armed aggression.

“I focus on coordinating issues in the field of justice and justice in Ukraine, as well as on the formation and implementation of Ukraine’s international policy on ensuring justice and holding the Russian Federation accountable for armed aggression,” — noted Iryna Mudra.

She wished Denis Maslov success if his candidacy is supported by the parliament and noted that he was the candidate for the position of Minister of Justice.

“The candidate for the position of Minister of Justice is Denys Maslov. If the Verkhovna Rada supports his candidacy, he will head the ministry. I wish him success in this responsible work”, — wrote Mudra.

Earlier it was reported that Denys Maslov was on the list of candidates for the position of Minister of Justice after the resignation of German Galushchenko, who is involved in the case of embezzlement at Energoatom.
