Oleksandr Usyk became an investor in Ukrainian technology startups

Ukrainian boxer and entrepreneur Oleksandr Usyk started investing in international technology startups related to Ukraine. In the spring of 2025, two innovative initiatives have already received funding from the athlete.

Usyk acted as an investor for projects included in the portfolio of the ICLUB syndicate created by TA Ventures. His funds were invested in a legal tech company and a managed mental health marketplace. Although the exact amount of investment is not disclosed, the total amount of funding from ICLUB members in 2024 was $20 million.

This is not Usyk’s first step in the field of technology: back in 2023, he co-founded the blockchain platform Ready To Fight, which is engaged in the digital transformation of the boxing industry. In partnership with TA Ventures and ICLUB, Usyk intends to continue supporting Ukrainian technological initiatives, promoting their entry into global markets.

ICLUB is a venture syndicate under the auspices of the TA Ventures fund, which specializes in financing startups at the early stages of development. Over the seven years of its existence, the club has united more than 2,000 members who have invested more than $60 million in 87 projects, nine of which have already brought profits to investors.

In March, the Ukrainian startup ChoiceQR, which is engaged in automating the work of restaurants, attracted €1 million of investment from the Polish fund Smartlink Partners. The financing is in the form of a convertible loan that will form part of an ongoing Series A round.
