The Pension Fund has changed the amount of subsidies and benefits for some Ukrainians
In September, Ukrainians received subsidies and benefits for paying for communal services for August. For a number of families, the amount of payments has changed due to recalculation of incomes, reports the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The total amount of financed subsidies and benefits amounted to 1.143 billion hryvnias. The agency explained that for some recipients, the amount in September differed from the August amount due to automatic revision in those households where the average monthly income increased or decreased by more than 50%. The recalculation is carried out on the basis of a comparison of revenues for the I-II quarters of 2025 with the III-IV quarters of 2024.
Twice a year — in March and August — the PFU reviews the amount of housing subsidies. Changes occur only for those families in which there was a significant increase or decrease in income. In such cases, the amount of assistance either decreases or increases depending on the financial condition of the household.
According to the PFU, in January 2025 benefits and subsidies were received by 2.779 million households. Of these, 1.216 million received benefits in the amount of 2.052 billion hryvnias, and 1.474 million received subsidies in the amount of 2.779 billion hryvnias. The National Bank notes that the increase in tariffs for housing and communal services and energy for the population is an inevitable step to stabilize the economy.
