The Polish company launched the production of FlyEye reconnaissance drones in Ukraine

The Polish company WB Group, which produces FlyEye drones, has opened a new production facility in Ukraine. This was reported by the company in its press release.

The launch took place at one of the Ukrainian enterprises, which for ten years served Polish equipment for the needs of the Ukrainian army. Information about the start of production was not disclosed for security reasons. It became public after the temporary chargé d’affaires of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine Piotr Lukasiewicz visited the plant.

The first Polish FlyEye UAVs entered service with the Ukrainian military back in 2015. They were used during hostilities in Donbas, as well as during the full-scale invasion of Russia.

The FlyEye model was created in 2010. Its weight is 11 kilograms, the drone can be carried in backpacks for two, and the launch is carried out by hand. The device can fly at a distance of up to 50 km from the operator and stay in the air for 2-3 hours. For reconnaissance, it is equipped with daytime and thermal cameras. The drone has an electric motor and is largely on autopilot. In the third generation, an automatic convoy mode appeared, which allows you to accompany allies or pursue a target.
