The President of Slovakia announced possible territorial concessions to Ukraine

Slovak President Peter Pellegrini expressed the opinion that Ukraine and Russia should immediately sit down at the negotiating table, and suggested that Kyiv may be forced to make territorial concessions. About this informs STVR.

According to Peter Pellegrini, in order to achieve peace, it is important to maintain a realistic approach, because nowadays few people in Europe believe in the possibility of ending the conflict without losing part of the territories to Ukraine.

“When it comes to peace, I believe that it is necessary to maintain realism. Today, probably no one in Europe among sane people believes that it will be possible to achieve peace without some partial territorial losses for Ukraine.” – emphasized the Slovak leader.

Peter Pellegrini explained his position by saying that his assessments are based on daily information about the situation at the front. He emphasized that peace talks between Ukraine and Russia should start as soon as possible, because delay only increases people’s suffering and makes it difficult to find a compromise.

In addition, the President of Slovakia drew attention to the risks that may arise for his country after the end of the war in Ukraine. According to him, weapons and various groups of people can enter Slovakia, which will require increased attention to security.
