The Prosecutor General’s Office and the Business Ombudsman joined forces to protect the interests of entrepreneurs

Another working meeting with business ombudsman Roman Vashchuk was held in the Prosecutor General’s Office as part of the implementation of the Memorandum on Partnership and Cooperation aimed at protecting the rights and interests of entrepreneurs. During meetings discussed the problems outlined in business appeals, in particular regarding violations by law enforcement agencies during investigative actions in criminal proceedings.

Deputy Prosecutor General Viktoriya Litvinova thanked the business ombudsman for his expert assessment and noted the importance of joint work for the formation of a favorable investment climate in Ukraine. She emphasized that the Prosecutor General’s Office appreciates the leadership of the Business Ombudsman Council in matters of investor rights protection.

Oleksiy Bonyuk, head of the Department of Criminal Policy and Investment Protection, and representatives of specialized divisions also took part in the meeting. They informed about the state of compliance with the rights of entrepreneurs in criminal proceedings and shared several successful cases of problem solving.

The parties agreed to continue cooperation and invite representatives of pretrial investigation bodies to further meetings to discuss specific examples of solving business problems. This will ensure transparency and effective protection of the rights of entrepreneurs.
