The Russian army attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles: explosions were heard in Odessa and Cherkasy, there were casualties

On the night of July 24, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles. Explosions rang out in Cherkassy and Odesa, there are casualties. About this informs State Emergency Service.
“Odesa experienced another hellish night. The Russians massively attacked the city with strike drones. A 9-story residential building was destroyed – people living in apartments from the 5th to 8th floors were left homeless, houses on the 5th and 6th floors of one of the entrances were on fire.”, says the message.
Rescuers evacuated 33 people, 5 more people trapped in apartments were rescued. Dog handlers were working at the scene of the impact — service dogs helped in the search for possible victims. Next to the house, the Indestructibility Point of the State Emergency Service was deployed. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service and the National Police provide support to people. The liquidation of the consequences of the missile strike is ongoing.
Rescue units are also working at other locations — there were fires in a private house and at a gas station. According to preliminary data, there are three victims. As a result of the attack, a large-scale fire broke out in the Privoz market.
“Odesa Pryvoz is not just a market, it is the real heart of Odesa, where life is raging, the pulse of the city is felt. It is there that you can really get to know Odesa!”, – added the State Emergency Service.
On the night of July 24, Russian missiles hit the Cherkasy region. As a result of the attack, several large fires broke out in the city.
“Unfortunately, we have seven victims who sought medical help, including one child,” — noted city mayor Anatoly Bondarenko.
The victims are provided with all necessary medical assistance. Rescuers, medics, law enforcement officers and explosives technicians are working at the sites of the attacks. Residents are asked to stay in shelters or strictly observe safety measures until the liquidation work is completed. The authorities promise to release more detailed information after the completion of the main rescue measures and assessment of the extent of destruction.
