The Russian army destroyed an energy facility in the Kherson region
Russian troops destroyed an energy infrastructure facility in the Kherson region. About this in the morning of April 23 reported Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the regional military administration.
“The Russians cynically violated the agreements again and have been massively hitting one of the key enterprises of our energy infrastructure for more than a day. The occupiers mercilessly hit the object that provides the city with light from artillery and drones. The attacks from UAVs continue until now. Our military fought all night to repel enemy strikes. However, in the morning, the Russians got their way, destroying the energy object.” – says the message.
Prokudin noted that energy workers are working to stabilize the situation in Kherson. He urged residents to use electricity sparingly, warning of possible forced shutdowns in the near future.
The head of the OVA added that during the last day, Russian shelling was aimed at the critical and social infrastructure of the region, as well as at residential quarters. As a result of the attacks, two high-rise buildings, 12 private houses, an ambulance and private cars were damaged. During the day, 12 people, including a child, were injured due to hostile actions in the Kherson region.
We will remind you that on April 18, the Kremlin announced the end of the month-long moratorium on strikes on Ukraine’s energy facilities. No orders regarding its extension have been received from the President of Russia. According to the Ukrainian side, Russia has already violated the terms of this so-called “energy truce” more than 30 times. Moscow, in turn, accused Ukraine of similar attacks.
