The Russian army dropped leaflets in Chernihiv with calls to fire on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Russian troops dropped fake hryvnias on Chernihiv in the form of leaflets, which contained appeals to help fire at the positions of the Armed Forces. About this reports the police of the Chernihiv region.
On the morning of September 6, law enforcement officers received a report that leaflets stylized as 100-hryvnia bills were scattered in one of the city’s neighborhoods. They were called to transfer coordinates and facilitate shelling of the Ukrainian military in exchange for real money. According to the police, these fake hryvnias were dropped from a drone.
An investigative and operative group of the Chernihiv District Police Department went to the scene. Currently, the issue of the legal qualification of the incident is being resolved. The law enforcement officers also reminded of the criminal responsibility for spreading data on the location or movement of the Armed Forces.
“In 2022, during the siege of Chernihiv, they scattered propaganda leaflets with the help of artillery shells. This is one of the elements of psychological warfare. This is normal practice and we do it that way. Now they scatter from drones. I have information that these postcards were found in Chernihiv. The “Gerber” UAV has new modifications, I haven’t seen it yet, but the military told me. In the compartment instead of the warhead or camera. there is an opportunity to post such postcards. They are not as big as money. Printed on a color printer. At the right moment, the compartment opens and postcards fly”, commented military observer Mykhailo Zhirokhov.
He noted that the QR code printed on the postcard leads to Telegram. According to him, teenagers are most at risk of succumbing to such propaganda.
