The Russian army launched massive UAV strikes on Kharkiv: fires broke out, there are casualties (video)
On the evening of April 8, the Russian army launched a massive shelling of the Kyiv, Industrial and Osnovyan districts of Kharkiv with attack drones. Fires broke out at the site of the hits, and there are casualties. About this informs Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov.
“Preliminarily, there are more than 20 arrivals in the city this evening. 17 of them are in the Osnovyansk district”, – says the message.
Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration told about the details of the Russian attack on the city:
“Shevchenkivskyi district: hit by a drone in an open area. Kyivskyi district: as a result of the shelling, the second floor and the roof of an abandoned building caught fire. A UAV hit the ground in a private yard. The roof, fence and utility premises were damaged.
Industrial area: three UAVs fell in an open area. Osnovyansky district: fires broke out as a result of drone strikes. Specialized services are currently eliminating the consequences of enemy strikes.”
In the State Emergency Service clarified, that objects of civil infrastructure — warehouses, production buildings and a technical service station — were hit. There were six ignition sources. The total area of the fire exceeds 1,200 square meters. Two victims are reported to have been injured.
Rescuers of the State Emergency Service, employees of the National Police, doctors and representatives of communal services are working on the spot.
