The Russian army massively attacked Kyiv with drones and missiles, there are dead and wounded
On the night of August 28, the Russian army launched a combined attack on residential areas of Kyiv. Gerbers, kamikaze drones, Shahed, as well as ballistic and cruise missiles, including Daggers, were recorded in the sky above the city. As a result of the attack, there are dead and wounded, reports KMVA.
In general, the air alert in the capital of Ukraine lasted 9 hours and 9 minutes. As of now, it is known about the consequences of the attack in more than twenty locations in the Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Solomyanskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Holosiivskyi, Obolonskyi and Desnyanskyi districts.
The greatest destruction was recorded in the residential sector of Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts. In the Darnytsky district, a part of a five-story building was destroyed by a direct hit. A rescue operation is underway at the site: people are being pulled out from under the rubble. Nine- and sixteen-story buildings, a private residence, a parking lot, and a kindergarten were also damaged.
In the Dnipro district, a twenty-five-story residential building was destroyed. The drone hit the yard near the nine-story building, where cars are on fire. Dozens of cars were damaged in several areas.
A private residential building caught fire in the Solomyan district, the fire was contained. The Shevchenkiv district suffered serious damage: non-residential buildings, office premises, and residents’ cars were damaged.
In Holosiivskyi district in the morning, due to the attack, fires broke out in several areas, windows were broken in more than ten houses, and cars were destroyed. In the Desnyan district in a non-residential zone, the consequences of strikes were also recorded. There is also destruction in the Obolon district.
In general, the number of damaged objects in Kyiv reaches hundreds, the number of broken windows is measured in thousands. A shopping center was damaged in the city center. Fragments of downed targets were found in various parts of the city. Rescue services are working on each location. The authorities urge not to approach such places and call 101 and 102 immediately.
According to preliminary data, at least 8 Kyiv residents were killed, and another 38 people were injured of various degrees of severity. Among the dead is a 14-year-old girl. Among the injured are at least five children aged 7 to 17. The data is constantly updated.
