The Russians attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles and drones at night

On the night of December 5, Russia launched another attack on Ukraine, striking the Dnipropetrovsk region with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and launching 44 drones of various types, including Shahed. About this reported Air Force of the ZSU.

Ballistic missiles were launched from the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, and drones were launched from the territories of the Oryol and Kursk regions. According to the military, Ukrainian air defense units were able to destroy 30 out of 44 enemy drones.

Air defense forces, electronic warfare and mobile fire groups operated in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky and Odesa regions.

As of the morning of December 5, 12 drones were lost from local control, and one of them left Ukrainian airspace, moving in the direction of Belarus. The Air Force and other units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to work to ensure security and protect the civilian population from enemy attacks.
