The salaries of Ukrainians have increased by 15% since the beginning of 2024

Pension Fund of Ukraine  reported on the growth of average wages in Ukraine for the first three months of 2024. According to the fund, the average salary in March was 15,433 hryvnias 98 kopecks, which is 15% more than in January of the same year.

Wage growth was observed throughout the first quarter of 2024. In January, the average salary was 14,974 hryvnias 56 kopecks, in February – 15,267 hryvnias 60 kopecks.

The PFU calculated the average salary based on data from employers who pay taxes on employees, taking into account data on the salary for which a single contribution is paid and the average number of full-time employees in enterprises.

The increase in the average salary is also related to the increase in the minimum wage, which will be 8,000 hryvnias from April 1, 2024. The government plans to further increase the minimum wage to 8,370 hryvnias from January 1, 2025 and to 8,956 hryvnias from January 1, 2026.
